About Me

Hello and Welcome
To
Pictures and Poems

Pictures and Poems is composed by myself, Liz Lee and all images and Poems are copyrighted to me.

I lives in the Midlands, UK with my husband Ron 3 Beagles &
A Border ;)x.
My love of dogs has lead me into a passion for photography.

I retired from my career as a Special Needs Nursery Nurse due to ill health in 2010. My passion for poems and literacy has always been present loving to express
myself in rhymes and quotes to reflect my mood of the situations I finds myself in.

I was diagnosed with  Cervical Ribs Thoracic Outlet Syndrome back in 1998 .Then more resantly I have been diagnosed with Scleroderma Systemic Sclerosis , both are complicated uncommon chronic conditions, I also suffer with Secondary Raynaud's & Secondary Fibromyalgia, living with these incurable conditions has been a great upheaval for me and altered every aspect of my life. Through this blog you will be able to see into my life and journey the good and bad, from being undiagnosed and wondering why my body is failing, to hitting the brick walls in the medical fields and eventually finding my way to gain a diagnosis to help me live with the illness and manage the life I now finds myself with.

This blog is an outlet to share my story with you through the use of the wonderful photographs and poems that I has captured over the years and continues to create to share the love warmth and smiles of her life. Spreading uplifting messages far and wide, In the hope that anyone who is going through the pain and suffering that comes part and parcel with living with chronic conditions be they similar in nature to Scleroderma or something else may find something here which will offer them some comfort or help them in understanding they are not alone on their own personal Journeys, or maybe just find something that makes them SMILE!

Please enjoy the Poems and Share the Smiles.

  1. Liz -this is really good. Liz & I share some of the same conditions only we were a bit like mirror images. Mine's mostly affected inside whilst Liz's is more visible! But it seems that we are catching each other up nowadays ;) Liz is a tower of strength to me - she really helps me to keep going. Oh and guess how we got in touch with each other.... yep a mutual love of dogs!
